Seeing The Hand Of God...

The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this, that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude.
— George Washington, 1778

George Washington saw the hand of God at work in his life?

How about you?

You need not cross the Delaware carrying the hopes of a fledgling nation to recognize that God is good and God is in control. At the same time you must guard against that spirit of the world that says, "If I can't see it, taste it, or touch it; it isn't real."

Look back over the last week, the last month, even the last year. How have you seen the hand of God at work in your life? Like our Founding Fathers, like the Psalmist, take time to express your gratitude to God.

Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble.
— Psalm 107:1-2 ESV
