"A man's got to know his limitations"

In the 1973 film Magnum Force, Dirty Harry (Clint Eastwood) says, "A man's got to know his limitations."

Truth comes from the most interesting sources!

I watch my life pretty closely and have been feeling my limitations most acutely over the last few weeks. In light of that, I will be taking a three-week pause from my devotional writing and will resume Don't Ask The Fish on Monday, May 7. This break will provide me additional time to:

  • Focus on key projects at Spanish River Church that need my time and attention.
  • Fine-tune my website, including launching a devotional podcast for those on the run.
  • Breathe!
  • Be a little more present in the presence of my family.

To allay any concerns . . . I'm good. Shannan and I are good. My family is doing well. I am loving the church I serve. I just want to make sure it stays that way.

Lord willing, come May 7th I will be sharing with you more of what the Lord is teaching me. In the meantime, feel free to visit www.dontaskthefish.com. I have written more than 500 posts. You can browse through them or search by key word if there is a particular topic that is of interest to  you.

Romans 8:28-32 ESV

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
