Shifting Gears

And again, as was his custom, he taught them.
— MArk 10:1 ESV

Study the life of Christ and you will see certain rhythms marked his life: teaching, going to the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stepping away to the Mount of Olives for retreat and prayer.

Rhythms helps us maintain focus and effectiveness.

I have found the rhythm of periodic withdraw a helpful one so I'll be shifting gears for the next few days -- literally and figuratively. I will be stepping away from the day-to-day and engaging in a little back road travel and hot rod fun.

If you enjoy peeking in on the hot rod travels, stop by CarSafari.com. You may also enjoy perusing these two sites:

  • On My Walk -- My reading podcast and book review site, devoted to helping you capture reading's AHA! Moments.
  • Leader's Life & Work -- My leadership site, helping leaders maximize and multiply their one and only life for God's glory.

You may see a post or two from Don't Ask The Fish in the next couple of weeks -- and then you may not -- but Lord willing the fish will swim again on Thursday, June 21.
